
The third, Aimi Yoshida, was smuggled to San Francisco to avoid being sent to a mutant camp in Japan. The second is Grant Alexander, an aspiring football player whose brawny physique reminded me of Colossus.

The first is Adrian Luca, son of the leader of the 'Purifiers' (they are a group bent on wiping out the mutants and serve as the primary antagonists). X-Men Destiny could best be called a third-person action RPG where you play as one of three brand new mutants.


Reflecting its title, the game is all about 'destiny.' I got a chance to watch a demo and play it briefly at Comic-Con this year to see what exactly that meant. In part, it's best described in the narration stating, "Choice is not always about right and wrong." When I heard the creators of Eternal Darkness, Silicon Knights, were working on an X-Men game called X-Men Destiny, I was thrilled.
